Too bad the Chaos Breaker didn't cause more wide range damage like the Sword of Light when used as a magic weapon. Anyhow, my first priority in Michaela's Demon Castle was to get the Sword of Light first, along with the other magical goodies she has in there, which is where extensive use of the flyers came into play, usually all four of them, all four usually get fried by Belials or chopped by Durahans and fried by Michaela herself if it's whoever I use to get the Sword of Light, but they usually got the white ring, black ring, evil ring, and sword of light before dying, so I retreat, regroup, and now I got the weapon to do widespread damage all over the place.

Man, I play that battle the exact same way. Then when Michaela is left, I retreat, swap items to people I want to level, and start the grind again.
It really is a testament to that game that I wouldn't mind replaying the battles over and over to power level my people.

I learned not to equip Hanzo with the Evil Ring on my first try, the curse damage combined with his attack power and possibly use of the Doom Blade he carries just happening to do its thing of a deadly strike wiped out his full HP and then some in one strike.

Holy crap, I've never read about anything like that happening... That is INSANE. I mean, I've never given Hanzo any accessories because I always felt he was powerful enough on his own, but now I'll be damn sure never to try that.

... Well, maybe once, just to see it with my own eyes.

You may have to try it repeatedly, I got unlucky on first try, the Doom Blade just happened to to its thing there.

I remember Max! He was BY FAR the strongest character from the game! Next in line would be the dragon Bleu(although HUGELY difficult to level up), the ninja Hanzou, samurai Musashi for a tie, and then the warewolf/spirit Zylo.

But Max? He'd whup EVERYONE'S ASS!

Man, I almost never put time into Bleu. The most powerful for me was probably Pelle, given a good lance. He could ruin ANYONE'S shit. Best knight, hands down. Probably Musashi next. Max was probably on par with both of these guys until he gets the Chaos Breaker. THEN he gets to boss slaying with ease levels.

Actually the one that shocked me was Arthur. Almost everyone I talk to complained about how weak he was. But when he got promoted, not only could he cast weak magic, he would be making HUGE gains in offense and defense anywhere between 5-12pts a pop!

I talked with people about it and people told me that this character was ALWAYS hit or miss and only a few times they've gotten lucky. One time I played as him and he sucked, the other he took on one of dark dragon's heads SINGLE HANDEDLY!

I always have crap luck with Arthur.

Adam's my favorite character so I always want to push him more, but... gaaaah. SO hopeless. He's too weak!

I know! He's awesome, and can swap punches with the best of them, but he's too hard to level up!
