The final process- colors!

I colored this pic in Dr. Martin PH dyes. Normally, I DESPISE these things. They're hard to use because unlike watercolors, once they are on a page, they are THERE. For good. And they are a pain in the ass to hide, and they don't blend well. Imagine having to do pretty much all your colored homework assignments in these things during the school year... It was hell. But regardless, I thought to myself, "man up, and try to be careful." So, I hope it came out well enough... I toyed around with the idea of using a green background-ish thing behind Zuko to bring out his warm colors. But decided against it... mainly because I had several close calls with just his blue shadow.
The final step was to sign it, then it's done.

I hope you all enjoyed!

The colors do seem a bit of a jump from the inks. Maybe next time I'll try and divide the coloring process into seperate steps....

Ok! :D...sorry if you caught that the wrong way. I wasn't saying the colors rose out of nowhere, I was just comparing the beginning sketch and the finished product. :aww:
