So, as my 2nd year of school draws to a close, I have the summer before me.

I intened to start looking for work getting comic jobs, and to make time for that while doing (now) full time work at my other jobs? It will be tense. That said, I'm putting everyone on the heads up that I won't be submitting much art this summer. Maybe if I do some test pages, I'll upload those now and then, and I'll finish my WIP's... Sometime...

So, I've just returned from NY Comic con... And man oh man, what a time I had.

Me and 3 other friends stayed at a hotel in Jersey City and would ride the Path trains over to the con. Tricky at first, but much fun.

So, the con itself... On the business end, I got dozens of portfolio reviews, with much helpful advice. I spoke to lots of indy publishers and dropped many business cards and ashcans. All sounded very promising, so here's to hoping I get some work for the summer, eh?

Now, on the nerdy end... WOW. Saw and met many cool people. Met Sean Murphy... and geekgasmed all over his table. I picked up maybe a dozen shirts, a crapload of posters and freebies, and a sword. Yep, a sword. Replica of Leonardo's sword from Ninja Turtles.

I'm a dork, yeah.

So, that was my weekend in a nutshell. Geeking out and whoring myself out. Good times. A weekend I won't forget!

Heh, just realized this trend I have where I title all my birthday entries like that...

But, that's besides the point. I am 20 today. I'm old! I'm an old man! I shudder at when the memory loss and looking back on the good old times will hit me! This is terrible.

Ah well. To my old age. Two decades of me.

... two... whole... decades... Ugh.

Ok, so the New York Comic con is coming up. And thanks to the efforts of some close and reliable friends, we'll be staying in a hotel nearby for the entire weekend.

I went to Big Apple Con last time, but I regret to say I didn't bring my portfolio or anything. That will change with this one. I'm bringing my portfolio and maybe several copies of my ash-can to show off there, get reviews, etc.

Just putting the plans out there. If anyone else is going, let's hear about it!

As for my life, nothing new there. Currently on spring break. Kinda slow. Seems like recently, the only thing I wake up to do is homework. My second year is nearly up... Oh, I nearly forgot to mention: I haven't had internet connection for the past week or so, and sadly, I may not get it up and running for another few weeks. So I won't be uploading anything in a while. I'm currently typing this from a library computer.

Geez, have I really not updated this thing at all since September...? Daaaaaamn.

Ah well. The holidays are upon us now. Meaning, I have no school and, for the most part, no work... From my first job. I shall reluctantly still be working my second one over the course of the break. Ugh. Some vacation...
